"Aurora struggled to slow her breathing as she paced up and down the pathway through the gardens. She had barely survived half an hour with the Valdren family in that room. How would she ever be able to stomach an entire lifetime in their cold, dismal, boring castle? It would be a world of confinement, of being forced to act as though she were nothing but a doll—a pretty face...a vessel for the heir to Valdren’s throne. She would lose her freedom entirely."
